The Milan Fashion Week starring the Spring Summer 2019 collections takes place in September 2018 from the 18th to the 24th and involves all the great names of Made in Italy. After the Grand Prix of Monza (early September) is the event that effectively establishes the start of the new season in Milan after the break of the summer holidays.
During Milano Moda Donna we can see the new collections showcasing what will be the trends of Spring Summer 2019 with some advance. The fashion shows of the Milan Fashion Week in September 2018 are very eagerly awaited, because in addition to the fashion side they also have a strong glamor component which is responsible for the role of models that invade the city, the designers, the influencers and all those who for various reasons help to make the city of Milan special for a whole week.
On your calendar flag September 18-24, 2018, these are the days when we will see the Spring Summer 2019 collections during Milan Fashion Week. During the days of fashion week, the great names of Italian fashion (like Gucci, often showing at 15:00 on the first day) alternate with young and emerging promoted by the Camera della Moda italiana.
Saturday and Sunday usually show some of the most anticipated names, of the most beloved brands.
The Milan Fashion Week is not only synonymous with fashion shows, but also with events and you can attend parties, glamorous events organized by fashion magazines and visit stores that are set up for the occasion. These side events are easier to access than the parades, but they certainly do not reserve fewer surprises.
Everyone’s dream is to go to a fashion party at least once in their life. The designers, or rather the team of fashion houses, are able to organize unforgettable parties, with famous guests, VIPs, dj sets of great appeal, lots of music and lots of tasty cocktails. At these events – however – entering is much more difficult, almost like attending a parade, but it is really worth trying your luck!
Guests and VIPs
There are many VIPs who go to see the shows, as there are many guests invited directly by the designers in the front row who are excellent ambassadors of the brand.
You have to keep an eye on the most important shows, but also the presentations, since even the smaller brands often have important testimonials.
How to participate?
Is very simple if we talk about buyers who come to make orders and purchases for their stores or customers and for press officers who write about fashion for a recognized newspaper: these two categories have to do is fill in the request for accreditation on the official website of the Chamber of Fashion. Unlike the case of those who do not fall into the previous definitions: the only hope of attending a fashion show and receiving a personal invitation directly from the fashion house (or from some influential friend who can get you some passes)
